Devil Dog Day Care Policies

Boarding and Day Care:

• All dogs over 6 months must be spayed or neutered.
• All paperwork with proof of shots must be completed.
• Must have no history of aggressive behavior towards people or other dogs.
• No communicable illness within the past 30 days.
• Must be free of fleas and ticks and be on a flea/ tick program.
• Any dog maybe expelled for any behavior deemed inappropriate at any time.
• Common reasons for expulsion:
  • Aggressive Behavior
  • Excessive mounting
  • Biting other dogs
  • Biting staff
  • Too nervous or fearful
  • If it seems not a good fit

In-Home Services, Daily Dog Walks/Pet Sitting:

• Devil Dog Day Care and its employees agree to provide all services in a reliable and professional manner.
• Our staff has undergone training in Pet Aid classes.
  • CPR, Assisted Breathing, Wound Care, etc.
• We require that all pets be up-to-date on rabies and distemper vaccinations, to ensure the safety of our employees, as well as the well-being of your pet(s).
• IN CASE OF EMERGENCY: We will make every effort to contact you. In the event, that you are not reachable, Devil Dog Day Care will require that you sign permission for our staff to seek medical attention with your veterinarian.
• Clients are required to provide their pet's collar, head halter or harness and leash.
• It is recommended that all pets wear an identification tag at all times.
• It is recommended that the client leave cleaning supplies should your pet have an accident in the home.
• We require two copies of your keys for our daily walkers/sitters, so if one of our sitters cannot make it due to sickness or injury, we have a second set for our backup sitters. For safety purposes, we will only identify your keys with initials (no names or address will be affixed to your keys).
• Devil Dog Day Care does NOT discriminate against breeds or size of dogs.
• Devil Dog Day Care will care for aggressive dogs, for an additional fee, as not all of our pet sitters are well versed with aggressive dogs and will limit us as to whom we can send.
  • We also require several days to come to your home and spend time with you and your dog, to get him/her accustomed to our staff coming in and out of your home without you there.
• Daily dog walks must be canceled 24 hours in advance, or the client will be charged the daily rate.
• Holiday and vacation pet sitting reservations require payment in full at time of booking. Cancellations must be received twenty-one (21) days in advance of the scheduled start date for a full refund; fourteen (14) days in advance will get a 75% refund; seven (7) down to three (3) days in advance will get a 50% refund. No reimbursement will be given for cancellations less than 48 hours prior to the scheduled reservation beginning.
• Devil Dog Day Care requires clients to have a responsible party to take care of your pet(s) in the event of unforeseen circumstances, including death, inclement weather or natural disaster. It is recommended that your emergency backup be a neighbor that you trust, so they can get to your home with ease.
• Inclement Weather policy: Extreme weather conditions may change scheduled visits, occasionally causing visits to occur later than scheduled or shortened, per Devil Dog Day Care' discretion. Extreme weather conditions may include a snow/ice storm or a hurricane/ tropical storm.
  • Devil Dog Day Care will do everything possible to arrive at every scheduled visit. However, our staff will have to take safety into consideration and use their discretion in severe weather situations. This may mean, at times, that visits must be cancelled. In this case, someone from our company will contact the client to keep them updated. Devil Dog Day Care strongly recommends that all clients have an extra key with a neighbor they trust, in case of such emergencies.
• Daily walks will be suspended during the following holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
  • If you need our assistance on the above-mentioned holidays, please note that an additional $10.00/visit will be added to the initial charge.
• Pet sitting is available 365 days a year.
